Pointcorp, has announced it has received development application (DA) approval from Brisbane City Council for its plans to create a visionary new mixed-use destination in Fortitude Valley’s thriving Brunswick Street precinct.
The InterContinental Hotels Group-owned (IHG) Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley (Hotel Indigo), will anchor the project with a 146-room boutique accommodation offering. The Hotel Indigo will be one of the first in Australia to open when it completes construction in early 2020.
The precinct will revive a long neglected vacant site at 458 Brunswick Street into a world- leading example of mixed-use development featuring integrated residential, retail, commercial and hospitality uses.
In addition to the full-service Hotel Indigo, the precinct will feature 30 premium apartments, 1000sqm of commercial office space and a rooftop pool. The precinct will also see three unique food and beverage destinations spread over the lower ground, lobby and mezzanine levels totaling over 1,800sqm in size as well as a fourth high-end restaurant and bar offering on the rooftop.
